Speaking at a strategic roundtable hosted by the Arab Gulf States Institute, Ahmad Al Falasi delivered a clear message: the UAE’s progress will not be slowed.
“We are going through a challenging period, but resilience is part of our identity,” he said, pointing to the country’s steady focus on long-term growth.

In just over a decade, the UAE has transformed its space ambitions into globally recognised achievements.
Milestones such as KhalifaSat laid the foundation for technical independence, while Hazza Al Mansouri’s journey to space marked a historic national moment.
The success of the Hope Probe further elevated the country’s global standing, positioning it among a select group of nations to reach Mars.
This momentum continued with Sultan Al Neyadi’s six-month mission aboard the International Space Station—a breakthrough in long-duration spaceflight for the UAE.
Beyond Space: Building the Future Economy
Officials say the impact of the space programme extends far beyond exploration.
It is driving a surge in youth engagement in STEM fields while accelerating the growth of a competitive private space sector. The UAE’s model is shifting—from government-led ambition to a broader innovation ecosystem powered by both public and private players.
Next Phase: Deep Space Ambitions
The UAE is now setting its sights on deeper space exploration, with the planned MBR Explorer mission targeting the asteroid belt.
At the same time, collaboration with global leaders such as NASA is expected to play a key role in future lunar exploration.
Dr Al Falasi expressed strong support for international efforts to return to the Moon, noting that cooperation will be essential in shaping the next era of space exploration—and opening the door for an Emirati astronaut to reach the lunar surface.
