A Major Milestone for Wynn Al Marjan Island

As Wynn Al Marjan Island moves closer to its highly anticipated September 2027 opening, the resort has unveiled one of its most impressive attractions yet: a completed 550-metre beachfront featuring a private shoreline, sheltered lagoon and engineered offshore reef. The announcement provides the first detailed look at what will become a defining element of the UAE’s first integrated gaming resort.

Situated on Al Marjan Island in Ras Al Khaimah, the waterfront development highlights Wynn Resorts’ vision of creating a luxury destination that combines hospitality, recreation and environmental stewardship.

Three Distinct Beach Experiences

The newly completed coastline has been designed around three separate beach environments, each tailored to different guest preferences.

These include:

  • Resort Beach for families and leisure travellers
  • Adult Beach for guests seeking a more tranquil atmosphere
  • Enclave Beach reserved exclusively for visitors staying in the resort’s premium Enclave accommodations

The shoreline will feature 372 chaise lounges, 61 cabanas and three private beachfront bungalows. One of the luxury bungalows will include a private plunge pool and dedicated butler service, reinforcing Wynn’s signature approach to elevated guest experiences.

A Lagoon Designed for Relaxation and Adventure

A key highlight of the waterfront is the sheltered lagoon, framed by submerged rock formations designed to create calm and crystal-clear waters.

Guests will be able to enjoy a range of water-based activities, including:

  • Swimming
  • Snorkelling
  • Paddleboarding
  • Kayaking

Unlike traditional beachfront environments that can be exposed to waves and currents, the protected lagoon offers a safe and serene setting while maintaining uninterrupted views of the Arabian Gulf.

Commenting on the concept, Max Tappeiner, President of Wynn Al Marjan Island, said the goal was to create a shoreline where guests could escape and enjoy complete privacy while experiencing calm waters and exceptional service.

An Offshore Reef Supporting Marine Life

Beyond luxury amenities, Wynn Al Marjan Island is also making a notable investment in marine sustainability through a purpose-built offshore reef stretching approximately 319 metres.

According to the resort, coral formations and marine life have already begun establishing themselves around the engineered reef structures, while osprey have been observed nesting nearby. The development aims to foster biodiversity and create a thriving underwater habitat alongside the resort’s shoreline.

The initiative complements wider conservation efforts across Ras Al Khaimah, where marine ecosystems continue to play an important role in environmental preservation and tourism development.

Ras Al Khaimah’s Rich Marine Ecosystem

The reef installation comes as Ras Al Khaimah strengthens its reputation as one of the UAE’s emerging marine tourism destinations.

The waters surrounding the emirate are home to:

  • 21 recognised diving sites
  • Natural coral reefs
  • Historic shipwrecks
  • Indian Ocean humpback dolphins
  • Hawksbill, green and loggerhead turtles
  • Marbled electric rays
  • More than 500 species of fish

These natural assets have made the emirate increasingly popular among divers, marine enthusiasts and eco-tourism operators across the region.

What Else to Expect at Wynn Al Marjan Island

Scheduled to open in September 2027, Wynn Al Marjan Island represents one of the largest hospitality developments currently under construction in the Middle East.

Once complete, the resort will offer:

  • 1,530 luxury rooms and suites
  • 22 restaurants, lounges and bars
  • Premium shopping and retail experiences
  • Wellness and spa facilities
  • Entertainment venues and theatre experiences
  • Extensive meeting and event spaces

The project is expected to further elevate Ras Al Khaimah’s profile as a global tourism and investment destination while introducing a new category of luxury hospitality to the UAE.

The unveiling of Wynn Al Marjan Island’s beach, lagoon and offshore reef signals far more than a construction milestone. It demonstrates the resort’s ambition to create a destination that blends world-class luxury with meaningful environmental integration.

With a private beachfront, protected lagoon, thriving marine habitat and extensive leisure offerings, Wynn Al Marjan Island is positioning itself as one of the most anticipated resort openings in the Middle East. As the countdown to September 2027 continues, the development is already reshaping expectations for luxury tourism in Ras Al Khaimah and beyond.
