The UAE’s hospitality sector is preparing for a major employment boost as Wynn Al Marjan Island gears up for large-scale hiring ahead of its launch phase. The $5.1 billion integrated gaming and leisure resort plans to recruit around 2,750 employees in 2026, positioning Ras Al Khaimah as a rising hub for tourism and career opportunities.
According to the 2025 annual report from Wynn Resorts, the company added 56 new employees in the final quarter of 2025, bringing its current workforce to 251 — mainly senior executives and administrative leaders. Staffing is expected to expand rapidly, with total employee numbers projected to reach 3,000 by the end of 2026.
The landmark resort, a joint venture with RAK Holding, is scheduled to open in early 2027. The 70-storey development will feature 1,530 rooms and suites, 22 dining venues, a theatre, luxury retail outlets, and a marina. Industry observers say the project will significantly elevate Ras Al Khaimah’s global tourism profile and attract high-end international visitors.
Recruitment will intensify throughout 2026 as onboarding of operational staff accelerates. Key hires are being made months in advance to ensure employees are trained to international hospitality standards. The resort is expected to generate over 9,000 direct and indirect jobs across Ras Al Khaimah and other emirates, with more than 100 vacancies already advertised across marketing, gaming, finance, operations, food and beverage, IT, legal, and retail.
Construction remains on track, with the hotel tower completed structurally and interior works progressing steadily. Once operational, the resort is expected to play a vital role in tourism expansion. Ras Al Khaimah welcomed 1.3 million overnight visitors in 2025 — a 6% annual increase — alongside a 12% rise in tourism revenue. Authorities aim to attract 3.5 million visitors by 2030, with Wynn Al Marjan positioned as a key driver of that ambition.
