Yas Island is set to welcome another major attraction as Topgolf prepares to open a new venue, further cementing Abu Dhabi’s status as a leading global hub for entertainment and leisure.
Announced by Miral, the project is currently under construction and has reached 28 per cent completion. The development is being delivered in partnership with Viya, the authorised franchise partner of Topgolf, with completion scheduled for this year.
The three-level complex will span approximately 6,500 square metres of gross floor area, featuring a multi-tier driving range and a 19,000-square-metre outfield powered by TopTracer ball-tracking technology. Designed to appeal to everyone from first-time visitors to seasoned golfers, the venue will include 82 hitting bays, including eight VIP bays.
Jonathan Brown, Chief Portfolio Officer at Miral, said the project reflects the company’s ongoing strategy to elevate Yas Island’s international appeal.
“This development underscores our commitment to positioning Yas Island as one of the world’s premier destinations for entertainment and leisure,” he said. “Topgolf brings together innovation, social engagement and fun, offering a unique experience for visitors of all skill levels.”
The ground floor will feature a VR hitting bay, direct access to the tee line for practice and coaching, lounge areas, an event lawn and a dedicated pro shop. The upper levels will house a variety of dining concepts, including a sports and sky lounge with outdoor terraces, alongside an arcade zone and adaptable event spaces for private and corporate functions.
Christopher May, Chief Executive of Viya, said the Yas Island venue builds on the strong performance of Topgolf Dubai.
“Since opening five years ago, Topgolf Dubai has welcomed more than 2.7 million guests, recorded over 85 million swings, and earned more than 29 industry awards,” he said.
Set to become Topgolf’s second venue in the UAE, the Yas Island location is expected to further enhance Abu Dhabi’s sports and entertainment offering by seamlessly blending technology-driven gameplay with dining, social spaces and live events.
The attraction will also complement Yas Island’s existing golf destinations, including Yas Links Abu Dhabi and Yas Acres Golf and Country Club, reinforcing the island’s reputation as a regional centre for both leisure and sporting experiences.
Topgolf joins Miral’s growing portfolio of landmark attractions on Yas Island, which includes Disneyland Abu Dhabi, Ferrari World, Warner Bros. World, Yas Waterworld, SeaWorld Yas Island, Clymb, and Yas Marina Circuit.
