Where the Gulf’s passion, heritage and horsepower unite at the region’s biggest motoring festival
To describe Icons of Porsche as simply a “car show” would ignore the magnitude of what the Dubai event has become.
Now celebrating its fifth edition at Dubai Design District (d3), the festival has evolved into the Middle East’s most influential automotive cultural gathering — a dynamic fusion of heritage, art, innovation and the UAE’s unmistakable love for engineering excellence.
Organised by Porsche Middle East and Africa, the event has grown exponentially since its launch in 2021. What began as a platform to spotlight the region’s hidden collection of rare and classic Porsches has transformed into an annual phenomenon, attracting over 30,000 visitors and turning Dubai into a global showcase for Stuttgart’s finest creations.
A Gulf-Wide Convergence of Icons
The 2025 edition delivers one of the most diverse collections yet, featuring vehicles flown in from the Porsche Museum in Germany under this year’s theme, Mission: Future Heritage.
Adding to the spectacle, Porsche Centre Abu Dhabi curated a convoy of classic and modern models that cruised from Yas Links to Dubai — drawing admiration long before arriving at d3.
The UAE once again stands at the centre of regional Porsche culture, with passionate owners driving in from Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, Oman, and Bahrain.
This vibrant mix creates a uniquely Gulf dynamic:
museum-grade race cars beside flawless Gulf-spec 911 Turbos, and custom builds that reflect the region’s tuning culture.
Celebrating Legendary Milestones
Icons of Porsche 2025 dedicates major space to honouring landmark anniversaries:
- 60 years of the 911 Targa — A showcase of the iconic half-convertible through generations.
- 25 years of the Carrera GT — A rare gathering of the V10 supercar in numbers almost never seen.
- 50 years of Lechner Racing — Recognising the team that shaped motorsport in the region.
- 20 years of Porsche 911 Cup Middle East — Celebrating two decades of racing heritage.
Future Meets Heritage — Electrification Takes Centre Stage
One of the festival’s most striking stories is the blend of classic heritage with Porsche’s electrified future.
A Taycan Turbo GT in the bold Vaillant livery — inspired by the iconic 917/30 Spyder of the 1970s — symbolises Porsche’s commitment to honouring its past while pushing into a cleaner, high-performance era.
Regional debuts of the all-electric Macan and new Taycan models further position the festival as a major launchpad for next-generation mobility in the Gulf.
Bespoke Luxury Tailored for the UAE
The UAE’s love for personalised luxury takes form through the Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur showcase.
From exclusive custom projects to a factory-recommissioned Cayenne GTS, the display highlights Porsche’s ability to reinvent classics while meeting the region’s appetite for individuality.
Art, Music, Lifestyle — A Festival Bigger Than Cars
Icons of Porsche has cemented itself as a cultural experience, not just an automotive one.
This year features:
🎨 Live art installations
🎨 Commissioned murals
🎮 E-sports arenas
🎤 Music stages
👨👩👧 Family zones
🏎️ Partner pavilions from RM Sotheby’s, Tag Heuer, Michelin & more
It’s a festival that reflects the spirit of Dubai — vibrant, multicultural, creative, ambitious.
A Defining Moment for Dubai’s Motoring Scene
Icons of Porsche has become a permanent fixture on Dubai’s cultural calendar.
It reinforces the city’s status as a global hub for luxury experiences, innovation and automotive excellence.
Whether you’re a Porsche collector, a motorsport fan, or simply curious about the UAE’s dynamic car culture — Icons of Porsche 2025 is a must-see.
